good morning! just making small tweaks today to the site and adding an about page! :> hoping that i don't break my stolen code too badly! i've been pretty good as of late, seeing as i've pared down the complexity of this website's code quite significantly (despite this site relying on a finicky iframe)

healing from surgery has had its ups and downs: lots of good days, if anything! i'm trying to do more, but still rely on those around me to help. i still can't lift, push, or pull, but i have a healthy contingent of friends to help me through that. on the bright side, i only have two and a half weeks more of binding my chest (with a compression dressing rip) but after another month, i should be cleared to hit the gym again

it's strange to admit i miss going to the gym---i really relished that aspect of my routine, though! starting my day out with a hour of gym time every two days was soooooooo good for me, and i felt really weird stopping that completely!

unfortunately curious as to what the future holds in this respect, as my mobility/ability will be radically regressed to an unknown level. my dexterity and grip strength are significantly impacted already, as is my coordination, so i'll probably need a gym buddy come the holidays!

good morning! today is the first day of this little report, which sees the populating of the site with text content, more markup, and behind-the-scenes uploading of content to my personal server. nothing too serious to report, other than that i'll probably change the header gif to be something less tantalizing in future.

it's been three months since i last smoked a cigarette. only registering this information today, as my phone did dutifully remind me that i did NOT smoke 1000 cigarettes during this period. i wish i did, but i received a date for my top surgery in august, so i was prompted to drop the shit in favour of Having Nipples to pierce eventually.

i'm officially a week post-op as of friday the 22nd---i'm healing remarkably well after a difficult physical adjustment. i'm used to the new range of motion that having an arm-raising restriction enforces, and am only now having the energy to return to my various responsibilities in a graduated, low-impact process. it begins with going back to work remotely later today, so i'm stoked to get back on track!

we're approaching the end of the semester, so i'll probably be working on various projects and doing a bunch of catch-up in the meantime. i'm kinda grateful i got some time off, but now we're getting back to business!

bye for now,

david
